Frontier Breaks Ground with City Officials on New Challis Branch Projected to Open June, 2018
When we say “Invested in you, invested in community”, we mean all of our communities. On March 13th, 2018 at 2:30 pm, East Idaho Credit Union broke ground on their new, and much needed, branch in Challis, Idaho. Even though this next step forward in Challis has always been on our road map, it took almost 10 years to get where we are today. Current member will not have to worry about changing their commute to the credit union, as the new location is just right down the street. The new branch will be located at: 493 S. US Hwy 93 Challis, ID 83226.

EVENT RECAP
The Groundbreaking Ceremony began on March 13th, 2018 at 2:30 pm. The crowd was filled with members of the credit union, local citizens, current and past employees, city officials and local media. Dan Thurman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), opened up the ceremony by telling a little bit of the history of East Idaho Credit Union and introducing the credit union staff and construction workers who are making this possible.
Thurman went on to tell more about the new building and what new services will be offered, including a drive-through. Other members of the credit union spoke more on how this achievement marks a step in the right direction for the credit union and it’s communities, like Challis. Workers are planning on a completion date of the project as early as June 2018, barring any unforeseen setbacks.
Cindy High, Frontier’s EVP, spoke about the local branch staff and what they mean to this community. She went on to talk about the products and services that East Idaho Credit Union offers and plans on offering in the future. Chris Cardwell, Frontier’s CFO, wrapped up the speech by speaking about the financial health of the credit union and what it really means to be part of a financial cooperative.

BRANCH DETAILS
The new branch is going to be located at 493 S. US Hwy 93 Challis, ID 83226, just north of the current location. The current/old branch does not adhere to the brand that we have worked hard to create, so it will be updated to match the look and feel of our newer branches. The current branch is unable to offer some services that our other branches can provide their local members. Including all other services offered before, members will now have access to:
